Choosing Simply Powerful Math Tutoring

Students will increase their concept of math, solidify their new foundation in math, and build from that solid base.

Intervention is my wheelhouse. Filling gaps and correcting misconceptions your child has picked up in K–8 is the first step. As successful as your child may be with math, there may be gaps or misconceptions from previous years that, once fixed, let everything else fall into place. If your child has struggled with math, once that slate is clean, I'll rebuild their foundation. I meet them where they are and rebuild from that point. A 9th grader who struggled with a 4th grade concept can rebuild that foundation properly, and quickly — but we need to find the missing pieces first.

I bring 18 years of proven success working with students at every level to build stronger conceptual understanding of Algebra. Students will be taken down a proven path toward Algebraic reasoning. Within each step, the focuses on the unit of measurement, equivalency, equality, rate of change and structure in space.

Let’s identify exactly what's holding your student back

Once we identify your student’s need, then we fix it.

For parents seeking support with SAT Prep: Diagnosing and correcting Algebra foundation gaps is my focus — and it's exactly what most SAT math prep skips. Students don't just need practice tests; they need the underlying concepts solid enough to hold up under time pressure. I identify exactly where the gaps are, correct them at the root, and build the pacing and test-taking strategy on top of a foundation that actually works.

For parents seeking support in grades 3–9 Math: This is where you will find real support for students struggling with foundational math concepts. Your child's specific gaps and misconceptions will be diagnosed quickly and accurately. Through focused, specific number talks — built around how your child works through problems — their foundation gets rebuilt from the ground up. Students go from lukewarm, or even cold, on math, to genuinely liking the subject, because they're finally building real understanding. That's why the results hold up — and why your child can apply what they know across new problems, instead of relearning from scratch every time.

Who am I? An 18-year math teacher with a master's degree, whose state test scores have consistently exceeded state averages. 94% of my intervention students increase at least two grade levels in one year — in a large group setting. In one-on-one tutoring, the increase is quicker and higher. My classroom students have consistently shown double-digit increases in growth and proficiency in math, with standardized test scores moving up multiple grade levels within a single year.
